Firetrucks and Dogs, Oh my!

Firetrucks and dogs, what more could a 1 year old boy want? Kevin was so excited. He pointed at this giant dalmation and made panting noises like a dog. Up close all he could do was stare with his jaw hanging open.

We also visited the firetruck. Kevin got to sit on it and the girls (and Daniel and I) asked the fireman lots of questions about his truck and what it's like to be a fireman. We learned about water pressure, hose sizes, how the hoses connect to the hydrant, color coded hydrants, and lots more.

I was trying to think what subject to classify this as so that I could count it for homeschooling. I've decided to call it "Civics" (which is a required subject under Colorado homeschool law) since we were learning about community helpers.

How cute. What a good idea for homeschooling.

Sounds like fun. Did you change your hair?

Yup, thanks for noticing. I died it blonde. It came out sort of a strawberry blonde color as usual.

By the way, Qorban is asking for Danya and Gloria to talk to him about homeschooling some more. (I had him watch some of thier mini-homeschoolers clips.)

How funny! We were just addressing a letter to you guys today and trying to decide if the girls wanted to write just to Qorban or to all of you. We do plan to make more of the videos, but it's harder than we thought to think up good topics for the girls to talk about.
