I was reading some online news sites today and found this sad article Stab Proof School Uniforms. Just another reason to keep my kids safe at home. The fact that 16 kids were stabbed within two months seems to be acceptable to the police there. What scares me even more is that the teachers are unwilling to frisk the students they suspect of carrying weapons without being provided with their own Kevlar vests.
Remember when the news stories were all about how horrible it was that our troops in Iraq didn't have body armor? Now apparently it's our public school teachers who are in desperate need of body armor to protect them from the students.
