First Ear Infection

It's hard to believe looking at this picture, but Kevin has an ear infection. He had a fever and was very fussy yesterday. We finally gave him a tiny bit of children's Tylenol. Then Aunt Jennie (our nurse on call, lol) said we could give him 100 milligrams of it, so we gave him a little more. It helped and he was able to sleep.

Today he would barely eat and was inconsolable. We called our new doctor that we just got through Daniel's new work insurance. Unfortunately they only book appointments for new patients a MONTH away! Who on Earth schedules an appointment for a 3 month old infant in pain a MONTH away?!! I was so mad I could spit! They gave us the address for the nearest urgent care and Daniel took Kevin there right away. They said he has an ear infection in his right ear. So now we're giving him an antibiotic and stronger Tylenol. He's doing much better. He's sleeping right now, which is a big relief. I don't know if Daniel's insurance will cover what is sure to be an exorbitant bill from the urgent care place, but I don't really care. It was worth it to help him, poor baby.
