Dry Creek Trail

On the 6th of October we decided to take advantage of the gorgeous weather and take a long walk along one of the many nearby walking trails. The first one we found was Dry Creek Trail. It's a short trail that meanders along under two bridges and eventually leads to a large playground behind a church that we visited a few weeks ago.

We enjoyed seeing the little waterfalls here and there, creating echoes under the bridges, watching ducks float along the creek, and counting prairie dogs as they ran to hide from us. They make such a funny bird-like sound when they warn each other of danger passing by. We also took turns pushing Kevin (and sometimes his sisters) in the stroller and climbed a rock wall at the playground. The girls played in the sprinklers on a soccer field nearby. It felt like a long walk because we took a couple of hours to complete it, but really it was only a short distance. It was very pretty though, and worth the trip!
