We got to meet our neighbor's grand daughter yesterday. She's 4 and adorable. We pulled out some chalk and the kids got to spend some time creating chalk masterpieces, outlining each other on the sidewalk, and playing hopscotch.
Kevin fell instantly in love with the little girl's shoes. They had carebears and rainbows on them. He kept scooting on his tush right through the chalk drawings to get near her so that he could touch her shoes and babble at her. He was pretty much covered in chalk dust by the time we went inside to wash up. I was just happy that he understood that chalk is for coloring and not eating.
