It rained alot yesterday, so we did some rainy day projects. I used one of my monthly reproducible idea books to photo copy pictures of an umbrella. They were designed to make a paper bag puppet, but we used them for a frame for our stories instead. The girls each wrote a story about a rainy day, then we put them in the center of the umbrellas.We did the same thing recently with a design intended to make a dog paper bag puppet. I like this idea because they get tired of puppets and it encourages them to write. When we did the dogs, it went along with a bible story we read about a verse that warns people not to meddle in other people's fights/arguments, because it's about as wise as "taking a dog by the ears".
