While Gloria's friend, Harley, was here today we decided to play tennis. So we gave Gloria, Danya, Harley, and Tanner rackets and dumped balls on both sides of the net. When I yelled, "Go!" Daniel and Tanner tried to get all the balls off of their side and Harley, Glory, and Danya raced to whack all the balls off their side. We call it, "Clean up your own backyard."
After that, two neighbor kids showed up with their rackets and wanted to play with us, too. So we lined the kids up along one side and Daniel took turns hitting balls to them. They all got a few good returns. Kevin, Harley's mom, and I ran around picking up balls that were missed or flew wild and returning them to the basket. So we all got a good workout.
Then, after a brief time at the house to get some water and read about rabbits for science, we went back out to let the kids play at the playground for a few minutes before Harley and his family had to go home. It was a fun day!
