Thumbelina and Miss Lady told us that their family doesn't make a big deal of birthdays. Usually extended family members give Miss Lady some money to go buy gifts for her little sister and that's it. Although, sadly, sometimes they don't even get that. I hope that this year will be a birthday that Thumbelina remembers for years to come!

Thumbelina Growing Up

Is her birthday actually on the 18th? Liliana's is that's why I was wondering.
No, actually her birthday is the 19th. We've just been celebrating on Saturdays so that all the kids can be there. It's been a challenge working around all the different school schedules. I'm really glad that they all have the week of Thanksgiving (cough cough and my birthday cough cough) off from school. Today should be the last birthday party for a week or two!
I am sure you are looking forward to the break from the public school routine. I know how much I dislike the restrictions the school times. Any plans for your birthday beyound not getting up for buses?
We may be driving on my birthday if we can get permission to take all four of our foster kids out of state for Thanksgiving. Otherwise, no, I don't have any definite plans. Daniel has some nebulous idea of having a bar-b-que as a joint birthday party. I'm not sure if the weather will cooperate for that.
