TNT Boys' Camp Out
Michael is in the TNT Boys group at AWANA this year. It stands for "Truth and Training" and, of course, is cool because it looks like it means dynamite. They had their annual camp out on the church lawn this year. Michael was very excited to sleep in a tent with his best friends, Joel and Jonah. Jonah's dad, Uriah, is one of the leaders of the group. I really like that the whole group is lead by godly Christian men who are training the boys in how to become strong men of God, rooted firmly in His Word. You won't find this kind of environment in the Boy Scouts.
I'm a 38 year old Christian mom of 10 kids. I have six girls; Danya age 15, Gloria age 14, Jordan age 13, Brianna age 13, Katie age 6, and our other 6 year old Karyie. My four sons include Michael age 12, Shane age 11, Kevin age 9, and Ryker age 4 months. I also was a foster mom for about 5 years. In 2009 we adopted two of the 33 kids we've fostered. In April 2012 we adopted three more! I've been happily married to the love of my life, Daniel, for 19 years!
For privacy reasons we cannot post identifying pictures of foster children. That's why their faces are covered or only the backs of their heads are shown. We also give them nicknames to protect their privacy.
The Mini Homeschoolers
Danya and Gloria are "The Mini Homeschoolers" in a series of YouTube videos where they answer questions about homeschooling from a younger perspective. These videos are based on the ones created by two funny homeschooled young men called "Ask the Homeschoolers".
