Color Night at AWANA
The kids like Color Night at AWANA because they get to skip the t-shirts and wear their team colors instead. This year we added colored yarn and ribbon to their hair. I'd originally only intended to do it for Jodie (Jordan's nickname), but the other girls wanted me to try it in their hair, too. I'm not sure it really showed up much in Glo's hair, but she liked it. Katie doesn't have a team color, since she's only a Cubbie this year, but she wanted a bow in her hair.
I'm a 38 year old Christian mom of 10 kids. I have six girls; Danya age 15, Gloria age 14, Jordan age 13, Brianna age 13, Katie age 6, and our other 6 year old Karyie. My four sons include Michael age 12, Shane age 11, Kevin age 9, and Ryker age 4 months. I also was a foster mom for about 5 years. In 2009 we adopted two of the 33 kids we've fostered. In April 2012 we adopted three more! I've been happily married to the love of my life, Daniel, for 19 years!
For privacy reasons we cannot post identifying pictures of foster children. That's why their faces are covered or only the backs of their heads are shown. We also give them nicknames to protect their privacy.
The Mini Homeschoolers
Danya and Gloria are "The Mini Homeschoolers" in a series of YouTube videos where they answer questions about homeschooling from a younger perspective. These videos are based on the ones created by two funny homeschooled young men called "Ask the Homeschoolers".
