POD: Victory for Homeschooling in CA
Well, it's a post of the day, not a photo of the day tonight. I've been at the IABC conference all day and am pretty beat. I just had to share the great news for homeschoolers in California. The court of appeals reversed their ruling that had declared homeschooling illegal in CA. It had basically said that homeschools aren't private schools and parents cannot teach their children without being certified teachers. This affects about 166,000 homeschooling kids in CA. Today they completely did an about face and declared the opposite. Here's a link to the good news: HSLDA update

I wish my mum homeschooled me as i had a bad time at school. I didn't even know it was an option here in UK
as the authorities didn't even tell us about it.
that's great to hear about CA. I was worried that if it went though there it would then follow to the other states as well. thank goodness they get to keep there right to homeschool! What a great day!!!!
That is good news! Thanks for sharing. There are so many wonderful homeschooling families that aren't formal educators, but are the very best teachers for their children!
I am praying everything is okay with your family. God Bless
Is there something wrong??
I've been worried about you, haven't "seen" you in a while. I pray all is well.

I've also been checking on you guys and hope everything is ok. Prayers that everyone is healthy.
I hope everything is ok!
Sorry for dropping off the face of the Earth... or at least the internet for a while. We've just been crazy busy and I've been so exhausted lately. Thanks for all your good wishes and your patience. We just had our four month check on the baby and it's doing fine. We had some concerns again, but apparently I'm just overdoing it a bit and needing to drink more water. I can do that much, but the taking it easy part is harder. AWANA starts this week and I'll be helping out in Danya's new T&T class among other things.
I'm going to try to be much more frequent in the blog updates. Again, sorry, and thank you.
