On April 4th we went to the Arapahoe County courthouse and legally adopted our three beautiful wonderful new children. They officially changed their names and became Elliotts.
Several people who have helped them during their years in foster care came to celebrate the adoption. Their attorney, their adoption worker, their CASA, and their original case worker. The courthouse was packed with other families waiting to adopt. It was very different from our first adoption experience.
The judge asked Jordan how she felt about being adopted. She said, "It's cool." in a casual nonchalant kind of way, like it was no big deal. Michael looked at her like she was crazy and said, "It's not just cool, it's AWESOME!" I have to agree.
