An Inside Look Into Our Big Crazy Adoptive Family!
Thursday, April 19, 2012
At playgrounds, now that many of my kids are getting older, the main fun seems to come from scaring mom. They want to climb on top of or on the outside of the playground equipment. It doesn't seem to frighten them at all that they could so easily come crashing down. Some of them like to get into crazy positions and have me take their photo. Others, especially Michael, like to show off their muscle strength by holding their entire body away from the sliding pole and only holding on with one arm. I have no idea how they do it. My poor old, going to turn 35 years old this year, muscles groan in sympathy just watching my kids do these crazy things.
I'm a 38 year old Christian mom of 10 kids. I have six girls; Danya age 15, Gloria age 14, Jordan age 13, Brianna age 13, Katie age 6, and our other 6 year old Karyie. My four sons include Michael age 12, Shane age 11, Kevin age 9, and Ryker age 4 months. I also was a foster mom for about 5 years. In 2009 we adopted two of the 33 kids we've fostered. In April 2012 we adopted three more! I've been happily married to the love of my life, Daniel, for 19 years!
For privacy reasons we cannot post identifying pictures of foster children. That's why their faces are covered or only the backs of their heads are shown. We also give them nicknames to protect their privacy.
The Mini Homeschoolers
Danya and Gloria are "The Mini Homeschoolers" in a series of YouTube videos where they answer questions about homeschooling from a younger perspective. These videos are based on the ones created by two funny homeschooled young men called "Ask the Homeschoolers".
