The Reason for the Season
So many people talk about remembering the Reason for the Season every Christmas. They put up little manger scenes in their homes and yards and make sure they send out Christmas cards with some sort of Christian message. And yes, Christ's birth is important. But if He'd only been born and lived and died, there would be no "good news", no salvation from sin and death, no eternity in heaven with our Lord. This year, I'm reminded even more of the importance of what Christ's sacrificial death and resurrection means. Because this year, my son Kevin asked Jesus to be the Lord of his life. This very night, my only begotten son has also become my brother in Christ. And just like the night our savior was born, there are angels rejoicing in heaven this very night.
I'm a 38 year old Christian mom of 10 kids. I have six girls; Danya age 15, Gloria age 14, Jordan age 13, Brianna age 13, Katie age 6, and our other 6 year old Karyie. My four sons include Michael age 12, Shane age 11, Kevin age 9, and Ryker age 4 months. I also was a foster mom for about 5 years. In 2009 we adopted two of the 33 kids we've fostered. In April 2012 we adopted three more! I've been happily married to the love of my life, Daniel, for 19 years!
For privacy reasons we cannot post identifying pictures of foster children. That's why their faces are covered or only the backs of their heads are shown. We also give them nicknames to protect their privacy.
The Mini Homeschoolers
Danya and Gloria are "The Mini Homeschoolers" in a series of YouTube videos where they answer questions about homeschooling from a younger perspective. These videos are based on the ones created by two funny homeschooled young men called "Ask the Homeschoolers".
