Let's Go to a Restaurant!

 When we ask Katie what she'd like to do for our weekly special time on Tuesdays while the kids are at school, she inevitably yells with a huge grin, "Let's go to a restaurant!"  Her typical favorite is Lone Star steakhouse, but this particular week she asked for pancakes.  So we took them to IHOP.  I think it's good for kids to have chances often to practice manners for dining out.  However, the more our family grew, the less we could afford to eat at nicer restaurants.  McDonald's just isn't the same experience, although we do expect certain appropriate behavior no matter where we are in public.

I'm going to miss these special times together when the girls start Kindergarten in the fall of 2014.  For now, we are making the most of it!
