Locks of Love
For Valentine's Day this year Danya and Gloria gave a gift not just from the heart, but from the head...literally. It was a shocking amount of hair to cut off, but we had promised them that they could finally donate it on Valentine's Day. They were both excited that they looked so cute with their new shorter hairstyles. I'm so proud of both of them for the love that kept them fighting with the hassles of long hair for all these months. They decided they wanted to help other kids, and they stuck it out. They are so tender hearted and compassionate. We love them fiercely.
Do you use photoshop elements to edit your pictures? I just got it for my b-day and can't figure out how to use it. Are there any good tutorials online that you'd recommend?
They look so pretty with their new haircuts! Locks of Love is a great cause to give to. My youngest daughter has been wanting to do the same for a while. I think her hair may be long enough, now.
I've got photoshop elements 5 but still haven't really figured it out. I just don't have enough time to play with software unfortunately. I've mostly been using Paint Shop Pro X to edit all my blog photos.
That's so sweet that they made the decision to give to the locks of love. I am hoping Megan will want to do this as soon as her hair is long enough. They look cute with there short cut and I know they must be happy during and after bath time!!!!
I'm a 39 year old Christian mom of 10 kids. I have six girls; Danya age 17, Gloria age 15, Jordan age 15, Brianna age 14, Katie age 8, and our other 8 year old Karyie. My four sons include Michael age 14, Shane age 13, Kevin age 11, and Ryker age 2. I also was a foster mom for about 5 years. In 2009 we adopted two of the 33 kids we've fostered. In April 2012 we adopted three more! I've been happily married to the love of my life, Daniel, for 21 years!
For privacy reasons we cannot post identifying pictures of foster children. That's why their faces are covered or only the backs of their heads are shown. We also give them nicknames to protect their privacy.
The Mini Homeschoolers
Danya and Gloria are "The Mini Homeschoolers" in a series of YouTube videos where they answer questions about homeschooling from a younger perspective. These videos are based on the ones created by two funny homeschooled young men called "Ask the Homeschoolers".
